Seed Lending Library
The Norwell Public Library and Norwell Farms have initiated a collaborative to stimulate interest in gardening in the local community.
Stop by the Norwell Public Library to browse the seed collection and sign out free seed packets for your garden. We have a variety of herb, vegetable, flower, organic and non-organic, heirloom, and hybrid options. Signing out seeds is simple—just choose the seeds you'd like from the cabinet, then sign them out in the Sign-Out Binder!
If you know how to save seeds, we ask that you save some of the seeds from the most hearty plants that grew, then "return" them to the Norwell Seed Lending Library for others to "borrow" next season!
The Seed Lending Library also provides educational programs and lectures to provide information on various gardening topics, including organic gardening, how to save seeds, successful gardening tips, and trips to gardens.
