Museum Passes
We are pleased to provide passes to various museums in our area
Most passes allow for a reduced admission fee for a specific number of people.
Please note:
Passes can be reserved by anyone with an active OCLN library card.
Passes are limited to 3 per family per month and 2 per family per day.
During school vacations, passes are limited to Norwell residents and only 1 pass per family during that vacation time.
Once you reserve your pass(es), you may pick them up at the library the day before with your active library card.
We try to keep information about the museums up-to-date but recommend you call or check the museum’s website to confirm hours of operation, dates opened/closed, and admissions fees.

Boston Children's Museum
Admission is half-price for up to four (4) people.
You MUST make a reservation on the Museum's ticketing website.
During school vacations, passes are limited to Norwell residents and only 1 pass per family during that vacation time.

Boston Harbor Islands
The Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a national recreation area situated among the islands of Boston Harbor of Boston, Massachusetts.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
Pick up your Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Pass from the Norwell Public Library. Provided with your pass will be instructions to purchase discounted, advance tickets online using a special promo code. You must purchase timed tickets online or through the Box office in advance of your visit, preferably at least 48 hours prior. Each pass admits up to 4 adults for $5 each (General Admission only).

Enter the promo code on your library Museum Pass for a discount on up to 4 Adult tickets, children under 18 are free & can be reserved as child tickets. Admission MUST be purchased in advance - the library pass does not guarantee entry to the Museum.
You can also redeem your pass over the phone with the Box Office at 617 278 5156. Tickets and printed Museum Pass from your library must be shown upon entry to the Museum. The promo code can only be redeemed once. Should you have any difficulty securing tickets online, please contact the Box Office at the number above, not the library.

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library/Museum
Present your physical or digital Massachusetts library card at the Admissions Desk to receive a 50% discount on the cardholder's admission ticket. This offer is valid for visitors aged 13 and over and the visitor must present a Massachusetts library card to receive the discount. No pass is needed. Visitors aged 12 and under receive free admission. Please reach out to the JFK Library Visitor Services Department with questions at kennedy.groupvisits@nara.gov or 617-514-1600.

Peabody Essex Museum
Patrons must first reserve their PEM library pass with NPL and then log into the PEM ticket page to reserve a date and time to visit PEM. Visit pem.org/tickets, enter the promo code LIB271118 and then they select their discounted admission tickets.
Each pass admits a maximum of two adult visitors at a reduced admission fee of $12 per person. Children under age 16 are admitted free. Admission to Yin Yu Tang, the Chinese House, and special ticketed exhibitions require the pass holder to pay a separate fee.

Plimoth Patuxet Museums
Coupons must be presented to Plimoth Patuxet Museums guest services staff upon arrival at the Museum for Norwell Public Library patrons to purchase a Heritage Pass, Combination Pass, or Plimoth Patuxet Only pass for up to six individuals at the reduced rate of $16 per adult; $10 per child ages 5-17.

Museum of Fine Arts
Pass Redemption:
• Each pass now allows admission for 2 adults at $10 each (general admission and special exhibition) and up to 4 children ages 7–17 at $10 each (special exhibition only). There is no discount for children 7–17 for general admission, currently $10.
• Patrons receive an e-mail with their admission ticket(s) and need to present their ticket(s) when they arrive at the Museum, preferably on a phone or device, but tickets printed on paper are accepted. A physical library pass will not be used for admission.
During school vacations, passes are limited to Norwell residents and only 1 pass per family during that vacation time.

Museum of Science
Reserve a pass for the date you plan to visit the Science Museum and pick up your pass from the library. If you have any questions or would like to reserve your Exhibit Halls passes in advance to avoid waiting in line the day of your visit, please call 617-723-2500 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily). Your pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.
Up to 4 people are admitted at a 50% discount off of Exhibit Hall admission prices. Children under 3 are always free.
Please bring your library pass when you visit.
Stop at the Box Office when you arrive at the Museum to exchange your library pass and purchase your Exhibit Halls passes at the discounted rate.

Massachusetts State Parks (Department of Conservation and Recreation)
The Massachusetts State Parks pass entitles the bearer to free parking for one carload of visitors at over 50 facilities in the Massachusetts State Parks system that charge a day-use parking fee.
This pass is not for vehicles with more than 15 passengers.
During school vacations, passes are limited to Norwell residents and only 1 pass per family during that vacation time.
This pass must be returned to Norwell Public Library by 10 am the day after use.

New England Aquarium
Coupons must be picked up in person at the Norwell Public Library.
Each coupon admits up to 4 people for a 50% off reduction from the regular admission rate, per person. Coupon only applies to adult and child rates.

USS Constitution Museum
This pass admits parties of up to 9 to the USS Constitution Museum. This pass needs to be returned to the library.
During school vacations, passes are limited to Norwell residents and only 1 pass per family during that vacation time.

Zoo New England
One pass admits up to 6 visitors at the charge of $9.00 per adult and $6.00 per child for general daytime admission. Children under 2 are free.
