Library of Things - Quick Facts
LOT items are available to any OCLN cardholder with a valid library card in good standing.
All LOT items are eligible to be placed on hold but must be picked up at Norwell Public Library; LOT items cannot be sent through OCLN’s interlibrary delivery service.
LOT items can be checked out for 14 days and can be renewed 1 time if there are no holds on the item, with the exception of:
Mobile Hotspots: these can be checked out for 7 days and cannot be renewed.
Puzzles from the adult collection: these can be checked out for 28 days and cannot be renewed.
The overdue fee on LOT items is $1 per day, with a cap of $10, with the exception of:
Puzzles and board games from both the adult and children’s collections do not accrue any overdue fines.
LOT items must be returned to the library’s main circulation desk. These items cannot be returned in the library’s book drop and cannot be sent through OCLN’s interlibrary delivery service.
All LOT items must be returned in the condition in which they were checked out. Patrons may be charged for damage or loss.
