The Friends of the Norwell Public Library is a volunteer, non-profit group of library patrons who work together to raise funds and give financial assistance to the Norwell Public Library to help improve its services, resources and role in the community. Traditionally, the Friends provide funding for children and adult programs, museum passes (all featured on the library's website) and, when possible, special projects. This financial support is generated from a wide range of fundraising efforts from Fred-the-Shed (our gently used book store open May-September and staffed by Friend volunteers), raffles, auctions, plant sales, Appraisal Days, Fall Fun Days, Sponsors-of-the-Month and certainly a bake table here and there.
Membership is open to all. Contributions of any amount of time, ideas, services or money are always welcomed support to the Friends. Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the library's community room (excluding July and August). We'd love for you to join us! Be sure to check out the Friends bulletin board in the library foyer for more information.
